A few words about us, how the company was formed, why we developed Supplier CRM, the values we strive to bring to small businesses and the culture of the company we are proud to be.

Supplier CRM was formed in 2020 between two longstanding friends who had collaborated on many large scale business projects over many decades, one with a background of having a successful career in business management; the other an experienced computer programmer having worked on programming diving vessels for the offshore oil industry, bioreactors for the pharmaceutical industry and having built large business data-collection systems.

In some ways it was an unlikely combination, yet their long-term association and successful historic affiliation proved to be a perfect blending of skills which made a great successful partnership.

Last year, Supplier CRM was approached by a small business struggling to find the right software to run their business. Having outgrown solutions such as Google Documents and Google Calendars, tied up in knots with Excel spreadsheets everywhere they were frustrated at the lack of viable options.

Software packages designed at the larger companies were overly complicated, required a learning curve and were often prohibitively expensive. At the other end of the scale, low cost or freeware solutions had no flexibility; they could not cope with all the special quirks and ways of doing business that are unique to every business.

And customer support was often limited or non-existent.

The initial project was developed in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic which was a mixed blessing: whilst presenting challenges to creating the software system and getting it up and running, it was the perfect storm to torture-test a system for which remote working including working from home was a significant component.

Along the way we were able to use our experiences to develop a powerful solution that puts the needs and costs of the small business right at the heart of what we do.

Being a small business ourselves, we know how small businesses are run. We appreciate that every business has those unique things, demands of their market and customers and ways of working that make it the special business that it is.

We won’t try and push the unique shape every business into the same round hole and we are perfectly placed to appreciate that small businesses don’t have the budgets of oil companies or global motor manufacturers.

Nevertheless, we strive to offer software which punches well above its weight and data security which is world class.

We like to think of ourselves as being a personable company; friendly helpful folk, neither ruthless corporate types nor unapproachable backroom automatons.

But you’ll always find us professional and dedicated to making your business a secure success. We strive to have a culture like that of the people we’d like to have as customers: warm, decent and a pleasure to do business with.
